Steam & Water properties for power production.

Challenges

Pulp & Paper Mills are power demanding and need to produce their own electricity. Using Black liquor from the production is cost effective, but also creates challenges. When producing electrical power, Ultra Pure Water is crucial in the Steam & Water Cycle. Coating of the boiler reduces efficiency and Silica coating on the turbine reduces efficiency and can cause breakdowns with costly losses of revenue.

Oleinitec has a long experience of analysing the Properties of Steam and Water for producing power. We started with the suppliers Orbisphere and Polymetron who are now a part of HACH. To analyse steam you first need to lower the pressure and temperature in a safe way and that is where Sentry makes a good combination with HACH on our SWAS panels that we build in Sweden.
